5th Grade

"Geography Is the Mother of All History" - What is the meaning of this quote? Does it apply to the earliest Americans? How does a cultural group reflect its geographical environment? You and your teammate(s) have two weeks to explore these questions. Make every minute of research time count!

A Time of Remembrance: Explore Nothing to Fear but Fear Itself and examine photographs on Japanese internment taken by the U.S. Government. How are these photographs similar or different from the photographs on the People of Sacramento CD-ROM or the Journey to Topaz Virtual Museum web site? You now have the opportunity to examine primary source photographs and write the article that could not be written at the time the pictures were taken.
