Have you ever come off a big high point straight down to an extreme low point?
I'm all mixed up and nothing can comfort me. I'm itchy inside.

Faith is all we have. I guess we'll just have to ride God's wave from here on out.
It's hard to let go of our need to control the situation, but in this case we really have no choice.

Please pray for all of us...

So I'm back...There's so much to tell.
Basically,
I never knew I had so many relatives...
I'm happy to have hot water again...
I'll never complain again about the weather here...
I'd rather do things for myself, instead of telling a maid to do it...
My legs aren't strong enough for #2 on a squat toilet...
Swimming in the ocean was wonderfully warm...
I held McArther's hand...

There's more, but I'm too jet lagged to tell you right now....

I'm just trying to make sure that my life doesn't fall apart while I'm gone.
I think I've got the bills covered, I'll designate someone to pay the rest for me just in case.
My health should be fine now that I'm immunized.
I've saved enough vacation so that I have a job when I get home.
And I hope that nobody here forgets about me.

Just me and mom for three weeks now.
Here's what we'll be facing.
I hope I packed enough also. I'm not used to it, so my suitcase isn't even that full. Old Navy had a few things, but those capris and pedal pushers are still too long for my short legs and just make me look like I'm waiting for a flood. They'll think I've come to work in the rice paddy.

So unless I find an internet connection there. I'll see you all in three weeks.
It would be really cool if I had internet access there....

By the way, my life was worth $171.90...

I got my books for my trip yesterday. I started reading
Where the heart is already. I know the movie is out already, but I'm going to read the book first. It's good so far. I bought one other book and I can't remember the name of it. And Gab brought me my birthday present: Two more books, a journal and White Orleander. Wow, we both went book crazy. I'm sure to have plenty of reading time during my 3 week s off.

I'm scrambling to get everything ready this week and I really feel like I'm running out of time. It didn't help that I was so sleepy yesterday from the shots, that I couldn't stay up late.

Can you imagine! I have to get all these shots for our trip on Friday! And insurance won't cover them. Is my life worth $150? Sure...

I'll be away from home for a whole month. I'm excited, but also scared. I'm sure we'll be fine though. Everybody is giving advice, but I just want to soak in my experiences and relax and have a good time. If I get bitten by bugs, I'll live. If I get an upset stomach, I'll live. It's the Malaria, the Hepatitis A and the polio that are serious and yes, I am going to fork over the money for the vaccines.

Off to my ancestors homeland...
