So...Philip and I are getting married on July 21, 2001. Here we go! We'll be a bit busy for awhile...
So now we have to get in shape. I bought this really cool thing at the As seen on TV store at the mall. Ok, I know what you're thinking. I've been sucked in by an infomercial! But, I actually like this AbSlide and I really like it and I really use it and it I think its really working.
Hey there are other infomercial products that work. What about TaeBo! You know you were trying out all those moves while the infomercial was on... I've always thought that the George Foreman Grilling Machine is a great, great product. They even sell it in regular department stores and I even bought one as a wedding gift for my friend. Hey, it was on her registry!
And you must admit that you've aspired to be like Ron Popeel himself. Some of his inventions have been a bit hokey, but some are really, really good. "SET IT and FORGET IT!!!"
hey, I don't have cable and late at night, when I can't sleep, infomercials are rather entertaining. I even like to watch the demo's at the Puyallup Fair. My mom bought some things that maybe she didn't need, but they are really cool!
Hey, Congratulate Philip! Congratulate me!

Equatorial Guinea swimmer aims for Olympic medal -- next time
This is a great story. I watched him swim on TV last night and I don't think it was as bad as they described in the paper. He just got tired after 50 meters. I think its pretty good for someone who learned to swim in January. He even did a flip turn.
Yes, a few tears came to my eyes... -g

Meet the new Charlie's Angels! Drew Barrymore as Dylan, Lucy Liu as Alex, and Cameron Diaz as Natalie! I can't believe that they make these dolls so atomically correct. I wonder what the actresses think of these. No wonder women have such bad self images, we sure start them at a young age. I want to see the movie, but I don't ever think I'll let my daughter have a doll like this! That's just nasty...
These are a little better: Smart friends for smart girls It's a nice concept, but when there is Barbie and other glamour dolls, I don't think little girls will want these very much. That's pretty sad.
I just thought these were pretty cool: Sailor Moon Dolls Star Wars Episode I, Queen Amidala Dolls...I had a vintage Princess Leia doll when I was little. The one from the original Star Wars with the big buns on both sides of her head. I thought she was ugly compared to Barbie, so I always made her barbies mom or her ugly sister. I took out her hair and took off her clothes. If I knew I would have kept her in the box! Regrets... -g

I didn't know they sell all this wierd stuff!
What sane parent would buy their kids this! --because of that image, I really wanted to walk out of the first Austin Powers movie :-P
Can you believe that they have six versions of Britney Spears doll :-O Oops! I DID IT AGIAN!
and AGAIN
Oh my goodness....
And this one is my favorite! I always wanted to smash in THE ROCK's face!
I'll keep looking for some more...These are pretty entertaining. ;-D

I've been really into this Craft Message Board the last few days. It's kinda neat that there are other girls/young women into craft also. But I just can't see myself making anything beautiful or useful out of plastic milk bottle caps.
I may be crafty, but I don't want what I create to be tacky. If it turns out tacky, I usually take it apart.

Today's Literary Entry:
I recently read Song of the Exile by Kiana Davenport. It was a great story. About a Hawaiin family during WWII. Made me think of what my own family went through during the war. So much suffering, but later no mention of it. It must have been pretty traumatic. If you want to borrow this, just ask!
Now I'm back to my good 'ol standby, Jane Austen. I really love her stories. I know that there will be a happy ending, so its a nice change coming from a sad, depressing subject. It also works my brain a bit, because I have to adapt to the old style language. I'm slowly reading all her books. My favorites are Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion. This time around its Mansfield Park. I think I'll have to go back and reread some after this one.

I just had to post this! $6.3 million blow to Aryan Nations Wow! Kicked right in the ****, right where it counts. I can't believe that they really thought that they had taken over Idaho. It is so righteous that American Indians filed the suit. Like reclaiming their native land! I just think this is so cool!
What's scary is that they are one state away.
