I'm in the middle of a bad day...
-The alarm didn't go off this morning...
-I had to scrape the windshield...

So after that, what else could go wrong? I started driving, but it just didn't feel right. I turn off on a side street and get out and check my tires. The front passenger tire is completely flat. So, I start preparing to change it. I get out the jack and the wrench and start taking off the tire cover. Man! That thing didn't want to come off at all. This guy asks if I need help, but I was concentrating and in a bad mood. "NAA" and shook my head. He says "OK..." I'm so mean sometimes, but I was determined to do it. The tire cover just wouldn't come off. This other guy comes by and asks me if I need help and I tell him that I think I can change the tire but I just can't get the tire cover off. So, he just starts helping me. Good thing I accepted his help, because my jack didn't jack the car up enough to fit the new tire on. He had to use his own hydrolic jack. Thank-you to that guy again. Sometimes, a girl just can't be an independent woman and needs to accept some help.

I'm sorry to the first guy who offered help, but I shrugged off. I just took it out on you....

So, how can my day get worse now? After that, I just took my time getting into work. I just needed a little break...

I always try to wish people a good day if I see them in the morning. It was nice that the helpful guy wished me a good day after I thanked him. Now maybe I will have one.

Haven't had much time to update this lately...
I don't have a computer at home so I've been doing this on breaks at work. Not so many breaks at work available now. Busy, Busy in every aspect of my life.

The only link that I think you'll enjoy is
crush.nu. I read a few of these...
Entertaining. I'm so nosy, hearing other people's secrets intrigues me, even if I don't know them.

For instance, I was sitting in an Arby's by myself during lunch hour one time. I was reading a book and eating at the same time, so I would look occupied and wouldn't feel lame that I was eating alone. The people at the next table start talking about their affair. Just out in the open, like it was no big deal. She was asking him if he felt guilty and that she wouldn't take it back for a minute, because it was worth it. I was pretty shocked, but I just pretended to be reading my book and I was really trying not to eavesdrop. It didn't seem like they cared at all. Wierd...

My new role in life is the female version on Bob Villa. And Philip's new role is Norm. "This old house" has a lot of work to be done before it can really be lived in. And you know what? Philip actually lives there. We went to Home Depot two times on Saturday. Because we don't really know what we're doing. We bought a very good book though and we're learning. We have about 6 months to make it comfortable and we also have about 6 months to finalize all the wedding plans. See I am busy...

Exciting times! Happy Chinese New Year! My year of the Tiger horoscope was pretty good. Said I'll be busy and I'll find happiness this year. They always say that.

laterz...

Considering that we furnished our apartment with Free stuff, I think it looks pretty cool. I'd love to be able to decorate the place beautifully. Just like at
Pottery Barn. It always looks like it wouldn't cost so much to decorate that simply, but that vintage like look is quite expensive. I guess the trick is to accumulate things over the years. But remember to pass things on, when your house gets too crowded.
Speaking of which, thank you to my mom who passed on that coffee table that was too big for her own house. And my Dad did a great job finishing the unfinished coffee table they aquired.

To lighten the spirit of Martin Luther King day, I'll post this little e-mail I recieved:

Something to think about on MLK weekend
A black man talks to a white man:

When I was born I was black,
When I grew up I was black,
When I'm sick I'm black,
When I go in the sun I'm black,
When I'm cold I'm black,
When I die I'll be black.
But you: When you're born you're pink,
When you grow up you're white,
When you're sick, you're green,
When you go in the sun you turn red,
When you're cold you turn blue,
and when you die you turn purple.
And you have the nerve to call me colored.

Pass this on. . . . Help erase racism.

Such a long time away from a computer for me!
I made my Christmas break completely computer free. I hope everyone out there had a fun and relaxing holiday season. As for myself, I did exactly. Lots of sleep, lots of love, lots of fun. I even exercised!

Exercise is so much more fun, when you have someone to talk to and you go out for coffee before hand. Thanks to Gab for all the company you gave me this week off.

Christmas was celebrated with new and old customs. My last Christmas belonging to my parents. Next year, Philip and I will have to figure it all out again. Our future is by no means mapped out. All we know is that we'll be building our new life together. Pretty exciting!

We saw the Space Needle fire works from our balcony on new Year's. It was a very good show. We played
Cranium. And made up our own music game. To pass the night away.

Movies seen during break:
Cast Away
Miss Congeneality
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Emperor's New Groove

Memorable Movies rented during the break:
Chicken Run
Gone in 60 seconds
Shower (Chinese import)

Happy New Year to all! It should be a good one.
