Every time I update this, it's a Watermelon day?!
The diet is going well, I severely modify from what the book says and I'm still loosing weight. How in the world can a person eat fruit all day long. I think that I'm looking pretty good, but I just don't feel very good. I really hate the world's obsession with body and food! But, I'm such a hypocrite because here I am participating in this diet! I would like to get to the point where I can just be active enough, that I can eat what I want and maintain!
…enough ranting…
I hope all had a nice relaxing holiday! I did…
I always love it when, I get to watch movies all weekend. My dad just got a DVD player, so we rented lots of DVD's and also went to watch 2 movies in the theater!

G's Holiday Movie review!!!!
Started the weekend early by renting
Best in Show and What Women Want.
I enjoyed Best in Show. Lately, I've had this new found interest in dogs. I've never been much of a dog person, but now I admit I am. All because of adopting Dioji. This movie is all about people being really obsessed with their pure bread dogs. A whole really different society! It's all improve and great.
What Women Want was OK. I just thought it was stupid that he has sex with the girl that he doesn't love and that he won't have sex with the woman he really loves. Even thought he supposedly understands women more, he still screws them over. Definitely not the top pick of the weekend.

We went to see A Knight's Tale in the theater. It was cute. I liked the jousting story more that the love story. But, I think the fair maiden in it had cool clothes. She wasn't such a "fair" maiden though. She looks a little ethnic for medieval Europe. No wonder, she was born in Hawaii. It was kinda weird how they had rock songs mixed in a medieval setting, but somehow it worked.

We also watched Duets which we rented. Just OK. Huey Lewis is good singer, but can kinda act. Gwenyth Paltrow is a good actress, but can kinda sing. Phil said that anybody can sound good if they practice a song over and over again. I told him, "Yeah, unless they're tone deaf."

To finish the weekend, we saw Shrek. At first I thought it was stupid of us seeing it without watching it with kids, but the humor in it is not really for kids. It was so funny though. Everyone should see it. I'd like to go again. Moral of the story: Even if your fat and green, you can still find true love.

Only 2 more days to go before the weekend. Aren't 3 day weekends great!
Happy Birthday, Mom!

A Watermelon Day.
Watermelon all day is way better than grapes all day. I know that I'll eat a normal person dinner tonight anyway…I have no idea why I'm doing this to myself. I know it's not very healthy, but something is keeping me going…

I was just settling into the mode of nothing to do until we get closer to the BIG DAY. Then all of a sudden it is very close to the BIG DAY and I have all these things to do that I forgot about. AHHH! Pilipo is getting pretty excited as we get closer. He keeps making me guess how many days are left. By the way, there are 56 days left. Yikes! I want it to be over with, but there's just so much to do that I want the days to creep by.

Cars, Cars, Cars…
Agnes purchased a nice, fun, brand new, $$$ car this weekend. Oh, to buy something fun and sporty and $$$ just for yourself. She wanted to go all out on the purchase of her very first brand new car. I keep telling her, at least, she's happy and won't want another car in a couple years, because this is her dream car already!

There's more…Ag showed Amie her new car. One thing lead to another. (Look what you started Ag!) And Amie test drove a car the very same day she saw Ag's new one. Amie ended up picking up her very own brand new car the following day.

Oh my goodness! I have two people to call if I want to go cruis'n…

Happy new cars to both of you….

Dedication - Song of the day:

Baby let's cruise
Away from here
Don't be confused
The way is clear
And if you want it,you got it forever
This is not a one night stand..baby
Yeah So,let the music take your mind
Just release and you will find

You're gonna fly away
Glad you're goin my way
I love it when we're cruisin' together
Music is played for love
Cruisin' is made for love
I love it when we're cruisin' together

Baby tonight
Belongs to us
Everything right
Do what you must
And inch by inch we grow closer and closer
To every lil' part of each other
Oooh baby yeah
Sooo, Let the music take your mind
Just release and you will find

You're gonna fly away
Glad you're goin my way
I love it when we're cruisin' together
Music is played for love
Cruisin' is made for love
I love it when we're cruisin' together

Cruise with me baby
Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh
Yeah, Oooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh

Oooohhh baby let's cruise
Let's float, let's glide
Oooohh
Let's open up and go inside

And if you want it, you got it forever
I could just stay here beside you and love you baby
Let the music take your mind
Just release and you will find

You're gonna fly away
Glad you're goin my way
I love it when we're cruisin' together
Music is played for love
Cruisin' is made for love
I love it when we're cruisin' together

A GRAPE DAY
I've caved! My mom's been on this diet kick, using
The Beverly Hills Diet. So Amie came over and mom gets on her diet lecture, about how much she's lost and how all the fruit in the diet cleanses your body and makes you regular, blah, blah, blah. So I made a deal with Amie: I'd try it out, if she tries it out.

Somedays you have to eat grapes all day. Last time I cheated. I like to call it MODIFY. I know it's crazy, but at least it's changing my eating habits. If I didn't say I'm on a diet, I would literally eat everything and anything. I'm finding myself refusing things because they don't seem healthy or I'm not in the mood for the taste. We'll see how it goes. I know a better way is to just exercise everyday, but lately there is no time!

We finally have walls at Phil's house!!! It's coming right along. I don't know if we'll be finished by the big day, but it should be good enough to live in and then we have the rest of our lives to fix up the fixer upper.

I also got my baby fix on Friday night, by going over and visiting Baby Max. So sweet! And his new parents are so cute, the way they're following what the books say and keeping him sparkling clean and happy all the time. By the time, their second one comes they'll know everything. What a beautiful family they're making.

Mailing invitations, tasting foodfor the menu, reminding my mom to sew, putting together favors, and figuring out what else is left to be done. AND most important trying to do all this without STRESSING myself out and STRESSING out Philip and everyone else who's trying to help. Seems like some days, I just want to get it over with…

Today's song:
Shady Sadie, serving lady
Don't pay her no mind, no
She'll take every dime
She's got a one-a-day lunch
Good for all the bunch, yeah
Hot lunch, yeah

Macaroni and baloney
Tuna fish, our favorite dish
Hot lunch, hey
If it's yellow, then it's jello
If it's blue it could be stew oo, oo

She's got a one-a-day lunch
Good for all the bunch
Hey, now
Hot, hot lunch
Oh, oh, no
Yeah

~Fame, the movie
Makes me hungry!!!

:-P

Well, as of last Saturday we were all moved out of our apartment. Pray that we'll get most of our deposit back. I just wasn't about to wash the walls another 5 times so they would be completely white. We just left them and closed the blinds so they wouldn't see the subtle streak marks. Anyways, I swear that its cleaner now then when we moved in.

Amie has her very own apartment now. She's living all alone in her own space. And I on the other hand, may never live alone again. I've experienced that already though. For three months during my out of town(way out) summer internship. My first apartment looked pretty nice on the outside, fairly new. On the inside, it was a spacious one bedroom apartment with wood paneling everywhere except the kitchen & bathroom. The only reason I was OK with that, was because I lived in a bedroom with wood paneling for 20 years prior and I was only staying 3 months. It was great having my own place. I always had control of the remote control, watched almost every video they had in the
Blockbuster down the street from me. I also over ate and gained weight that I still haven't lost because I only knew how to cook for 5 people.

Oh, the joy of my first apartment! Have you ever seen Joe's Apartment? Well, this is the story of Gian's apartment. It was ok living there at first, but the longer I stayed, little by little, it got worse. One night I was awoken, a noise rumbling the whole ceiling of my apartment. Ok, this scared the sh** out of me. But I soon figured out that whoever lived above me had the loudest SNORE in the world.
But wait, it gets better…Everyday I found "ants" in my bathtub and everyday I would spray them with Raid and wash them down the drain. My shower smelled of Raid and shampoo. I could never take a real bath(although I never took them, but I was on my own and trying new things). I always had to take a standing shower. Then I noticed that when I turned on the lights in the kitchen, I would hear noises…creatures scattering to find hiding places. The place was …INFESTED! Those "ants" in the bathtub were actually baby cockroaches. One morning, while I was enjoying a nice warm shower(don't say it Gian, I'm gonna gag!), there was a big old Cockroach staring at me sitting right on the tile. I don't know how I did it, but that was it!

I admit I am a former cockroach hunter…It takes at least 10 squirts of Raid to kill a cockroach. If you use only 5 it only stuns them for 10 minutes. Sometimes there would be little streaks of bug spray on the counter from one walking while its dying. It has to be the liquid spray Raid too. I don't think those little roach traps or zap it discs work. Another thing that works is a heavy old tennis shoe. I always kept one right by the entry of the kitchen and armed myself with it when I went in there. Then I would turn the lights on and start the chase and swat!

This is why I'm no longer squeamish when it comes to bugs. I'm not gonna let a little insect terrorize me out of my first apartment. That's why I could handle the ones in the Philippines. Those suckers are huge! And even when you hit them a couple times, they still get up and walk around. They'll even run away from you when you're trying to stomp on them…

By the way, Good luck with your new place Amie!
If you see a roach in your neighborhood,…Who you gonna call?

Today's song:

Gotta make a move to a town that's right for me
Town to keep me movin'
Keep me groovin' with some energy.

Well, I talk about it, Talk about it,
Talk about it, Talk about it,
Talk about, Talk about,
Talk about movin,…
