I'm talkative today... I stayed up late last night cooking adobo for the haloween potluck. So, while my chicken was stewing, I turned on night public TV(Channel 9). I was expecting British Comedy, but instead saw Salma Hayak being interviewed about her new production
Frida.

I've always admired Salma Hayak. She's one of those actresses that even women think she's beautiful. And after watching her interview, I admire her more. She's so passionate and intelligent talking about this project. She said that she'd been working on it for 8 years and wouldn't go forward with it unless all the right people were involved.

In hand with wanting to see Frida the movie, I've told Philip that I want to go to the Seattle Art Museum and see the latest exhibit Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and Mexican Modernism: The Jacques and Natasha Gelman Collection.

I think I'll have him take me there this Saturday. I hope it's not too crowded either, because I want to sit alone with the art and soak it in.

how sad...

Jay's like King Midas, as I was told,
everything that he touched turned to gold.
He's the greatest of the great, get it straight he's great.
Claim fame cause his name is known in every state.
His name is Jay to see him play will make you say:
"God damn, that DJ made my day!"

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

We had our annual pumpkin carving party yesterday at mom's house. Jussy's job was fishing through the guts picking out the pumpkin seeds. So we'd wait till his hand was in the pile, then try to dump the guts onto his hands. Pumpkin gut fights are messy but fun...So we weren't even bothering my husband, who was concentrating very hard on his artwork, when out of the blue he decides to throw a seed at my forehead to see if it stuck. What a DUMMY!

We chose some very intricate designs this year. Philip found them on the web(But now I can't find the link)
This year's Fellores/Orquia pumpkin gallery:
Dr. Evil
Lilo
Stitch
Boba Fett
and an original design by Jayme, that looks like Justin

It took us so long to carve those things that we left one pumpkin uncarved...

13 weeks down, 27 to go!
No more trips for me for awhile. It's just too hard on my me and my body...Las Vegas was OK. We spent a lot of time doing wedding stuff w/ the groom's family. Not much time too see the sights or watch some shows. Mom and Philip got some good time in on nickel slots and I found 5 cent Video Poker to pass the time.(But, really the second hand smoke isn't good for me) Dad was over trying to win a brand new shiny convertable, but I think his money never lasted too long. None of us are gamblers, really. The wedding was nice though and we danced the night away. Congrats to Roderick and Melissa! - starting their new life together in the "City of Sin".

Dioji surprised me yesterday by acting like he really missed me. He's usually so excited to see Philip and with me it's a, "Oh, it's you." look from him. This time he wagged his tail, spun in circles, and leaned up against my legs. I would have gave him a real big hug if he didn't stink so bad.

While I was snoozing the other night. The "Flutter" in my tummy woke me up. That baby was swimming all around inside there! I called Philip over and asked him to see if he could feel it too. And he said, "Woah! It's pretty stong!" I was surprised since I thought it was something I could only feel from the inside. I'm so happy he felt it too! I think our kid is gonna be a strong swimmer!

Itchy butt in line at Taco Del Mar
So this guys in front of me, disguises a shirt tuck in as a major scratch his ass moment. I mean, he had his hands way down the back of his pants. He finally found his itch and straightened his shirt and pulled his pants up(like Steve Urkel style). So all I did was make this funny, "What the Hell? EWWW!" face to the back of his head.

Then I notice the LEE, X-Large sticker running on the inside of his leg and butt. New pants from Walmart, should be washed before worn. Or else you might get the Itchy Butt...

As Philip says, "You don't know who tried that shit on before you!!"

I was giggling to myself and the lady behind me probably thought that I was a wierdo.

Week 12 is here!
I thought that I was miraculously supposed to feel better, like I could eat anything and like I'd have instant energy. But, yesterday was pretty rough. All Philip and I did was sleep and eat. And the eating wasn't anything spectacular. At least I succeded at keeping it all down.

On Saturday, Philip worked all day while I stayed home and relaxed. In the evening, I had a girl's night. Notice (on the right), we watched Sweet Home Alabama. And chit chatted till we closed the restaurant and then chit chatted some more at home.

While girl's night commenced, Philip and Ritchie had a B-town reunion, but just the two of them. They came home and started telling me some story about talking shit and beating these "little kids" at Fooze ball. I could tell they had bought eachother a few drinks, 'cause only they understood the story they were telling me. I just laughed along cause I couldn't understand them.

I'm thinking of taking a Yoga class and I'm definitely starting swimming again this week, since the pool is reopened. Trying to achieve a fit pregnancy, even though I sat on my butt the first tri-mester.

A meal that wasn't BLECH...
Last night, the first time in a long time, I really enjoyed my meal. Everything smelled and tasted good to me. It must have been the MSG. A friend of mine once told me, "If something taste so good, maybe too good, it has MSG." It's true too... Look at the ingredients in Cheetos and Doritos!

Good Birthday Dinner Celebrations the first two days this week for my DAD and MOM TESSIE!

MSG ROCKS!...until you get that headache...

p.s. maybe Sea Garden doesn't even use MSG.

In the dark...
Got home last night to a very dark street and then a very dark house. The power went out...

Lit some candles and waited it out. Philip read outloud again, this time by candle light. Close to the end of the chapter the clock radio turned on and power was restored.

It felt kinda old fashioned and romantic...

Crab feast!
We had a little Survivor Party/Crabfeast last night.

menu:
4 crabs from our Westport trip
Steak
Deep Dish Pizza from Papa Darv's
Cucumber & Tomato salad
Rice

While we watched Survivor, Philip taped Friends just for Janet. Then to be good hosts we skipped CSI and watched Will & Grace and the recorded Friends episode.

Bedtime Stories
I fell asleep listening to Philip read a chapter from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers out loud. It'll be good for all three of us if we make it a habit...

Have a great weekend!

A long weekend...
Hard being back at work, even when I know it couldn't be avoided.

friday: Called work at 8'ish to say that I would be taking a vacation day. Was awoken soon after I fell back asleep, by my mom telling me to meet her at 10:30am. Got over to mom's and she's just getting out of the shower.(I could have slept another 1/2 hour...) Headed downtown to meet Auntie Delia's bus in front of Westlake. Window shopped around while the two high school buddies caught up on their girl talk. Went to Pea in the Pod and wondered why its so expensive. Tried some stuff on with the 5 month pillow strapped on and on mom's insisting modeled for them. It's nice to have at least one pair of loose pants. Tired of window shopping. Headed to House of Hong for 3 person Dim Sum. Then to Uwajimaya so mom could get her bubble tea fix. Then home to prepare dinner. Jayme was home with lots of girlfriends. Teenage girls fill the house with a lot of noise and commotion. Uncle Narcing and Dad arrived while I went to pick up my husband. Dinner for teenage girls served in the spare room, while adults ate fish tacos and lumpia and talked of how they met and then married. Good 'ol times...

Saturday: Headed out to Spanaway at 8 am. When we arrived at 9'ish Uncle Ben and Auntie Lynn were just showering. We didn't leave their house till 11'ish and after going to the bank and gas station didn't leave Spanaway till 1'sh. Stopped at Hawk Prarie's Restaurant for breakfast/lunch, then headed out to Westport and arrive at 3'ish or was it 4'ish. Uncle Ben realized that he hung the keys to the cabin back on the key rack at home. We had to break in. I couldn't believe my husband fit through that little window... Broke in the garage too, to get to the crab pots. (My husband is such a theif...) Unfortunately, we missed high tide and couldn't launch the boat. Went to Westport Red apple and got dinner and breakfast supplies. I snacked and ate a boiled to death hot dog, while everyone else had steak and crab and oysters. Watched Trading places from the ocean cabin.

Sunday: Awoke once in the night to go to the bathroom, then again in the morning by my Uncle's snoring. Everyone in the house was still sound asleep except Philip and I. We woke up and started cooking breakfast. Hotdog, ketchup and rice for us. French Toast, eggs, and bacon for them. Finally launched the boat at noon'ish, 5 people with shellfish licenses X 6 crabs each = 30+ crabs? I think we got close to our limit. Went back to the cabin, cooked the suckers up. Bagged and divied them up. We ended up coming home with 5 bags which is 8 to 10 crabs. Headed home about 7'ish got back to Seattle at 9. Dropped of 3 bags of crab at my mom and dad's. Got home to hug Dioji and scatter our belongings around the living room...

It was hard to get up this morning. Good QT with my Uncle Ben though. He's going to rename his new boat Isangmahal...

P.S. Anyone up for a crab feast? The doctor said I can't eat 'um and my husband needs some help
