Out and AboutWe're getting confident enough to take JonP out. Our first real visit(other than Lola's house) was at Jo and Maya's, where we all had a movie night, and a baby holding night. Jahno was so curious of the baby. JonP was new to him...We attended Folk Life Festival this past weekend. We stayed long enough to eat two meals and two desserts. JonP stayed cozy in his stroller, and in my arms when he didn't want to be in the stroller. We got to dance Native American way, which was whatever we felt. I think JonP still likes those drums, just like when he was inside me.I also took him to visit at work yesterday. I asked my boss if he would allow JonP to come to work with me everyday. He just laughed(probably wishing he could allow it) It was just a reminder that JonP and my days together are numbered and I'll have to return to work soon. Too sad, huh?-g Comment posted by gian 5/28/2003 05:08:48 PM . . .
My first Mothers DayThings are easier everyday. JonP started breastfeeding exclusively a couple weeks ago. Since then, it's been great. No more double duty with the breast pump!We had a great weekend too! Phil and I decided that it would be good if he took night shifts on the weekends. So, I pump a bottle for JonP and his daddy wakes up to feed and change his diaper in the middle of the night. More than 3 hours sleep, makes all the difference! On Friday morning, Philip was doing a routine diaper change right next to me as I slept in more. I hear this..."OH! AWWW!" from Philip and turned over to see what the problem was...Let's just say that our son has the gift of projectile poop...Phil had it on his arm, chest, and leg...Jayme called in the afternoon to tell us to come over. Mom and I helped her get ready for her Senior Prom. Mom did her hair and makeup and by the time she was done, Jayme looked in the mirror and didn't recognize herself. She look so cute with the fresh flowers in her hair and the beautiful dress Mom made her...On Saturday, we ventured out on JonP's first shopping trip. We found a nice Mothers Day present at REI...A new updated raincoat for me! My husband informed me that my good ol raincoat was fading and a little out of style. So now I'm set...JonP liked REI, but didn't like his stroller after awhile. So I had to carry the baby while Phil pushed the stroller. We thought about getting some soup noodles for lunch in China Town, but JonP was hungry at the same time. McDoh and back to Mom&Dad's so all of us could eat. We ventured down to Greenlake with Justin. It was nice to finally get out in some fresh air. Seems like Greenlake has more strollers than dogs going around these days...Mothers day...Mom Tessie and Dad Lito caught the 6am ferry so that they'd have more time to hold JonP. Right before we left the house to go to church, JonP gave me his Mothers Day present...He christened me...twice. Who knew so much fluid could come out of such a little body! After Church, we went back to Mom&Dad's where Dad, Dad Lito, Philip and Jayme cooked us brunch. Every kind of breakfast meat you can think of and Hawaiian Bread french toast...Yum...It was a great way to celebrate mother's day...Look, he's getting so big!
