I just finished the
The Nanny Diaries. It was so good. I couldn't put it down. I stayed up till midnight last night, while my boys were snoring too. I was even laughing outloud reading it and Philip thought I was wierd....Any suggestions for my next read? I was thinking LOTR: The Return of the King, since the movie will be coming out by Christmas, but I also want an easy and fun book to read the side.

JonP's plumbing has been backed up lately. But I think we've found a remedy...Did you know they make baby apple prune juice. It sure did the trick though.

Weekend Update...
So you probably missed it...we took JonP to his very first
Great Wallingford Wurst Festival. Jayme, Mom, Amie, Philip, and I had sausage dinner on Friday night. It's probably the only time of year I eat sauerkraut and sausage. After dinner, we watched mom and A. mimi (purses in hand) and this strange blond guy dance to an oldies band.

On Saturday Justin came over and helped Phil take 3 loads of junk from our yard to the dump. We treated him and Moe to Kaui Family. Ginger chicken was good, but the Rainbow Guava/lime/mango cake was better.
In the evening, we had a UW FSA(that's old school, huh?) reunion/Bridal Shower for our friend Lory. She's all aglow since she met her fiance Ed. She deserves it, you know...

On Sunday mass, and Wurst Fest for lunch. Philip and I did a lot of shopping, while JonP fell asleep in the carrier strapped to his daddy's chest. We had a pretty good nap, when we got home.

I've been a pretty lucky girl...
I think God's trying to tell me something. The past couple days I've had some close calls, that end up being OK in the end.
I left my jacket in the locker at the swimming pool on Wednesday night. My co-worker sweared it would be gone when I went back for it on Thursday after work. It was still in the same locker right where I left it!
This morning I got pulled over on the stretch of I-90 between Bellevue & Issaquah. He clocked me on Radar going 71 in a 60 zone. I was waiting patiently for him to check out my driving record. "Mam, I'm not going to give you a ticket this time. Just slow it down. Careful pulling back out into traffic." Yes!

I think I better be on my best behavior. Cause the bell isn't likely to save me anymore...

Talk like a Pirate Day
You can use the English to Pirate Translator to find your favorite pirate phrase.
For example: “Miss, can you tell me where the bathroom is? I would like to use the facilities.”

”Avast, ye poxy whore! Whar be th’head? I be needin’t’have a piss.”
ARRR!

I guess she and jojo should start a club.

For work, I got sent to a different site for 2 days to do "site support". More like, sit in a room and wait around for someone to have a problem support. I didn't even have a lap top...

Philip keeps trying to show me his groady finger. It has a blood clot at the tip of it that he can't clean up cause it would hurt. Then the skin where his nail is supposed to be is puffing out and pussy because there's no nail to hold it in. And you can see his nail growing back a tiny bit at the base. It is pretty digusting...He took a picture of it...Should I post it for all of you?...

JonP has a bad habit of taking his naps in peoples arms. We tried to put him down in his crib many times, but he'd wake up and cry right away. We tricked him and put him on the couch. Thank God he finally let me put him in his crib last night. He stayed there all night and woke up hungry at 4:44 AM this morning. Yay...Maybe we're making progress. I just have to remind his lola, lolo and auntie that JonP must be put down in his crib for a nap and not snuggled in their arms. I know it feels good to snuggle with him, but as Philip says...DO YOU WANT HIM TO SLEEP WITH US TILL HE'S 21!

Nothing much...
We had a nice quiet weekend at home. JonP had his first taste of rice cereal, which he liked. I just couldn't spoon it in his mouth fast enough. He soon started crying becuase he wanted to fill his tummy the way he's used to. We have it on tape if you wanna watch. We also watched all our DVD's that came in the mail. Check out Newest Movies to the right.

I was tearing up...
credit card application junk mail, while JonP was playing of the floor with his daddy.
All of a sudden JonP starts laughing. I looked at his daddy and wondered what he did that was so funny. JonP's daddy looked at me and wondered what I did that was so funny.
I tore another strip of paper and JonP started cracking up.

Seems my son thinks tearing up paper is pretty hilarious...
He also laughs at his Auntie Jayme's sneeze.(her sneeze IS pretty funny sounding, though)

Happy Weekend to ya...

Bad Weekend...Good Weekend
So the weekend didn't start out well...On Friday, Philip and the baby went to Bremerton to visit Mom&DadO at the Sari Sari Store. I called him to check up at around 11AM and he was in the ER. My God! My heart skipped a beat. Turns out he slammed his left middle finger in the car door, to prevent it from getting hit by a semi truck. After 5 hours in the ER, he found out that his finger was fractured and was all splinted and bandaged w/ a removed fingernail. I had to leave work and hop on the passenger ferry, to feed my son and drive my family home...My poor husband...

2 days at
Bumbershoot...
We figured out that foam earplugs can be easily pulled out by a 5 month old baby. We got him some silicone putty earplugs that worked out just fine...
JonP's first Bumbershoot was pretty great!
The highlights of the festival for us were
*The Blind Boys of Alabama...They brought some CHURCH to the new Opera house...

*Rennie Harris’ Legends of Hip Hop...DJ'ing w/ your tt is gross!...Don Campbell(creator of locking)...Electric Boogaloos(Mr. Wiggles)...& a cute b-boy from Florida...

*Center Circle Spin...JonP's Uncle Jussy danced for him just a little bit...the girls enjoyed some eye candy and admired the cute b-boy from Florida from afar...(Butt)Crack and Windmilling don't mix...

*Black Eyed Peas and De La Soul put on great shows...but JonP didn't like Common at all...only after we left the stadium he stopped crying...

Mt. Rainer or nap time?
So Philip wanted to get out of the house and visit nature. I was ready, but my two boys were snoring. I let them be and watched 10 things I hate about you and Bring it on! on USA network, instead. Mt. Ranier can wait until Philip's finger is healed.
