Embarassing stuff...
When I was young, I had this bad habit of holding my pee so long that I literally had to hold it. Like I would squat down on my heel, so it wouldn't come out. Many a time, I'd be close to peeing my pants.(When I was little, I'm sure I did) Seems that I may still have that bad habit. I told my mom that I think I have incontinence carried over from pregnancy, but then she pointed out that I may just have waited too long. And I realized that I was out and about with the baby for over 4 hours and hadn't even thought about going to the bathroom, until I really had to go...I don't know why I'm sharing this, I guess I'm just happy that it's not incontinence and that I just have to remember to go pee more often.

Anywayz...
I had my second 9X80 scheduled day off yesterday. Oh, I love spending the day with JonP all to myself. We had a very productive day actually, went to the Dr., went to the mall to pay bills, then spent more $ than I had just paid back, had lunch, then went to the grocery store. Just my luck, when I got home JonP was fast asleep. So I left him in his carseat, and did the dishes, and sorted laundry and got a couple loads in. PRODUCTIVE. Jayme and I even went swimming yesterday.

This past weekend JonP showed off his walking skills at some parties we attended. Someone said he walks like a little zombie w/ his hands out and up in front of him. Seems that almost everyone in the college crowd are having babies or getting married. There were all these little kids going all over the place. Pretty fun for JonP. He even got ahold of the Karaoke mic and "sang" his little heart out. AHHHH! UNGHHHH! AHHHH! He ended up scoring a 94 on that.

Judy e-mailed me this morning about Oprah's appearance on Colonial house.
Oprah Goes Colonial: Inside Colonial House She has some great picutes and comments. It's too funny that she comments about haveing to give up her underwear in exchange for authentic 1628 clothing...

So my new favorite show is
Colonial House on PBS. These 21st Century Americans were sent to live their lives how it would have been done in 1628 in a Colonial Village in Maine.

It's pretty interesting...One guy already cheated, saying he was going to go explore the wilderness and ended up at a bar and had a beer and fries.

Concert Etiquitte, Throwing up Jesus, & Sickness
So Friday night we attended
UW's Spring Fling 2004: Ozomatli and Dela Soul(jayme invited us to attend with her)...we were surrounded by college freshman and I mentioned to Philip that when we were freshman in college the kids around us were in 2nd grade. Many of the these freshman girls don't know concert etiquitte, so I felt a little bad for booting this girl out of my personal space when she so rudely invaded it. Fighting with teenagers..tsk, tsk, tsk on me. Ozomatli rocked it as usual, but Dela just hated that young UW crowd. It became just a job for them, so they ended their set early, because why perform when the crowd wasn't into it. Oh well...

We attended EJ & Joseph's 1st Communion early Saturday morning. All went well, until EJ got back to his pew after recieving Jesus for the first time. He turned around and complained to his mom that his belt was too tight. He soon hurried himself into the bathroom. I think he must have taken too big of a gulp of wine, that combined with not eating breakfast(since they were fasting before recieving communion) and his belt being too tight, all were factors in throwing up Jesus. We reminded EJ that next time it's OK to eat breakfast, just to eat a little early before mass, since you have to fast only 1 hour before taking communion. It reminded me of a part in the book Angela's Ashes, where Frank upchucked Jesus in his Grandmother's backyard.
Mom ended up fixing Jessica's hair, since she was invited to senior prom. She looked beautiful, and whoa, she has a lot of hair! Mom ran out of room on her little head to pin all that hair down.

Returning home, I was as sick as a dog. Coughing and runny nose. I think I slept the rest of the weekend, really. Darv and Stacy stopped by our mess yesterday evening and I just had to let them in, while we scrambled to straighten up a bit. JonP showed off his walking and climbing skills and the Vida dog pack got aquainted with Dioji a bit while Darv, Philip and Stacy collected flyers around the neighborhood. JonP and I stayed home and shared some pizza.

I'm still sick, but no sick leave left. On my working anniversary they took 1/2 of what was left away. I lost 1/2 of that and the other 1/2 went into a retirement account. Sniffles and coughing while working today, although, I feel a little better than yesterday.

Ozomatli jammin (I was right in back of the camera man in this picture, that's why my spot was worth fighting for!)

Bad hair day, fresh paint, Mom's day at the ballpark, Survivor8 Finalle, and Just me and JonP
So, I got this haircut on Thursday night that was way shorter than I expected, and was styled in a way that made me look like a mushroomhead. After a lot of grief and a wash and restyle by myself the next morning, it looked a bit better to me. I'm now semi-content, especially after people told me that it looks cute on me. I like the fact that it looks even better after I've slept on it and not washed it...

Philip started painting our dining room walls Sassy Green. Everytime I look at the walls, it make me smile. It's Nice & Bright & SASSY!

We spent mother's day at Safeco Field. I guess it was fun, but I think I'd have perferred a home cooked breakfast by my baby's daddy, and a day at the spa. We bought the best keilbasa, w/ grilled onions outside the ballpark for only $4. They were yum. Too bad the Mariners lost, and A-ROD got a homerun.
MomTessie and DadLito got JonP all to themselves while we were at the game. It was a good thing they watched him, cause he probably would have been pretty miserable.

Survivor AllStars had a big finalle, with lots of emotion. I'd say the finalle and reunion show were the most entertaining of all the shows this season. I wasn't that into this season, until the last show...

I got my first day off of my 9X80 schedule yesterday. It was so great to stay home with my little boy. We watched Sesame Street and took a nap. Too bad it rained all day, cause we were gonna go for a walk around the lake, but had to bag it.

One of these is IN:GRAFFITI where you can look at and create virtual graf train murals.

Kinda cool...
Tell me if you've used it and post your creation in my comments.

Watch this trailer for a documentary called Roadside Ambition
BALL OF PAINT.

This self-employed house painter from Alexandria, IN. didn't have anything better to do, but create 900 Pound ball of paint, that started out as a basketball. Cool hobby...

2004 Rat Hunt: Round 2
Current dead rat count: 2 down

I was going into the kitchen last night to put away some stuff and I heard a something loud fall. I yelled to Philip, "What fell?" He got up and checked the trap immediatly and then just stared. We caught another one, right in the next room from where I was entering. I think it heard me coming and then just ran into the trap. Philip said that he could see it still breathing. I looked into it's beedy blak eyes and didn't feel sorry at all. We left it there to die completey and threw it in the trash later.

Traps are locked and loaded(with peanut butter)...We'll get you and your little friends too!...cackle, cackle, cackle...

Hot and humid weekend
Nice weather in the great northwest this weekend. Perfect for Alissa & Stephen's wedding.
It took us 2 hours to drive down to Olympia Friday night for their hawaiian theme rehearsal dinner. Was glad to be there representing Alissa's Pendon side. Seems that those who live closer than we do, didn't make it due to traffic. We even put on some Kuau Crater Boys to liven up the mood.
On Saturday afternoon, we carpooled down to Olympia again, and got to the church earlier enough to watch the pictures taken. They walked across the street to the Capitol Lawn and had some beautiful wedding portraits. Philip had the right idea of wearing his Barong Tagalog, instead of a shirt and tie. The groomsmen were roasting in their tuxes, while Philip was nice and cool. The Pendon clan squeezed into 2 pews to witness the marriage. Then tried to squeeze into 2 unreserved tables at the reception. We got separated just a bit and some of the boys had to sit separated from us. The DJ played songs like "Boot Scoot Boogie" and "Funky Col' Medina", since Alissa's new last name is in that song. The DJ was un-ejamacated because he made fun of us for doing the electric slide to a Queen song. Doesn't he know that the Electric slide goes with any song? DUH!!! We even made sure our tradition of the money dance took place. They didn't plan for it, so my aunt insisted the DJ anounce it and we found a role of scotch tape and taped the $ to them. We had a great time anyway, ...& my once baby cousin is now a married woman.

2004: Rat hunt Round 2
Current Rat hunt count: 1 down
Philip went to 3 stores before he found his favorite trap. He set them while we went out to meet Adobo's new baby brother, Henry/Goliath/Rufus. He's really a sweet dog. They brought him over to Jojo's so Jahno could dominate him and his face looked like, "Why are they being mean? I just want to play!" Jahno finally got his way and they rough housed for over an hour. So, Philip checked his trap as soon as we got home and I heard a "Oh yeeee-aaah!" We got that little sucker. Traps are set again to see if we catch any of it's little friends...

Brand New Shoes
We took JonP the Nordy's to get his first pair of sandals. Turns out we were squeezing his feet into size 3 shoes...No wonder he couldn't get very good balance. We ended up getting him some sturdy sandals and some cute brown walking shoes. He seems to have better balance already! He got a purple balloon too!
