Home Sweet Home ...even if it's utter kaos... Philip is 90% complete on the floors and they look beautiful. I'm so proud of him for getting as far as he did on it, being a temporary single dad, dealing with an escaping dog, and participating in our friends' weddings(all around social butterfly).
My mission, now that I'm back... -get rid of this jet lag -help my husband get those floors finished -put back all of the furniture -start on Dioji's escape proof dog run -give my boys some haircuts
We got JonP 2 pairs of brand new shoes. I felt bad for continueing to squeeze his feet in his old shoes.
 cute!

I stole some pics from jojo. Thank you for these while I'm away from my boys. While I'm on a different continent, it makes me feel closer to them. Posted by gianfelo from Flickr.

Jussy, Happy Early 24th Birthday! I'm gonna try to find something in France for you...but if not, I know what you like...straight $, right?luvulots
A.Mimi, enjoy my baba and make him eat lots so he's bigger when I come home...

Oh ps... If RJP is reading this...leave a comment, don't just spy...I'd like to hear from you sometimes...
I got a big surprise from Junne in the mail yesterday. Wow, I love you and miss you lots. She makes my feel so guilty, because I should be sending her things from home to make her more comfortable, but instead she sends me pasalubong from the desert... I owe her big time and can't wait to see her on her R&R.

Another mini-holiday We decided to postpone our departure till Saturday morning. I felt it was better to sleep in our own beds than pitching a tent in the rain huddling together. It gave us time to buy provisions and equipment. We got a little 3 person tent, just for our little family. We packed our Sherpak(Thanks to reclaiming it from communal property), our cooler, food, kid & dog all up and brought the essentials with us.
I guess the objective was to attend the Westport Chainsaw Carving Competition and at the same time have a little family reunion. At Auntie Lynne's cabin, we took over the property. A line of 3 tents, 2 trailers and a camper, as well as a housefull of bodies.
JonP loves playing with all his cousins(actually my cousins) and Dioji loved all the attention and people food.
We snuck off by ourselves yesterday afternoon. Our little family enjoyed the beach, then headed home to rest.
Good times...

Canada, and back or bust! So we headed North this past weekend. Up to theVancouver Area, to attend Mom Tessie's Barrio Reunion. It was a surprisingly fun time.
We even ventured from Surrey to Vancouver China Town, where my in-laws were on a mission to find "New Town Bakery", but didn't know what street it was on. Philip and I looked doubtfully at eachother everytime his mom asked a chinese speaking resident of Vancouver Chinatown for directions. Most just shook their heads. Miraculously she found a filipina and she was able to point us in the right direction.
So if you ever find yourself in Vancouver Chinatown, looking for a good bakery and restaurant(cheap&good)...New Town Bakery is on Pender and Main street...Hum Bow Galore, pinapple & cocnut buns, 6 inch diameter almond cookies, and a menu of mini-plates that aren't mini at all...It was Yum.
