High Speed Cable in our future..
Mom had jury duty yesterday, so I worked from home in my sweats and the TV babysat JonP. He discovered
Dora the Explorer, Blues Clues, and Little Bill.

Double work at home, but what killed me was the dial up...
...If virtual days are in my future, a full time babysitter and a High speed connection are musts.

Today, I got to work and discovered I had crusty shoulders. Hugs from JonP are Oh so good, but they're dangerous sometimes.

A better weekend...

Philip got Dioji some tranquilizers so he wouldn't hurt himself or our house for the rest of his quarentine. Tomorrow, he'll be able to go back out into the yard. The thing is...I think he likes to be inside now. I leave the radio on for him so he doesn't get board. It seems to work, but the tranquilizers work better.

On Friday night, we went to the Wurst Fest for dinner. Barbeque Salmon and corn on the cob. We found the
Discovery Toys booth and JonP wouldn't leave and we ended buying 3 toys. It's good because they're educational and fun. JonP also watched the kids playing games and would laugh or do his surprised "oh!" and cover his mouth in suspense. When we arrived back home Philip and I finally moved the furniture back into place and he finished It feels so good to have our home back!

On Saturday, Philip and his mom & dad headed to Canada, while JonP and I stayed back with Dioji. We did get to go back to the Wurst Fest for lunch with Jayme, Dad and Mom. This time it I had a Cheeseburger and soft serve ice cream. Jayme and I took JonP to play the games himself. This little boy, whose not even tow yet, got over 30 points on about 5 or six games. One lady said that he was her most enthusiastic customer. Too bad he was still too little to go on the inflatable rides. He would've had fun jumping around. Next year will be more fun! JonP, Dioji, and I had a quiet night at home waiting for Philip and Mom & Dad O to come home.

On Sunday, we went to mass, then to lunch at Kona Kitchen(it was unusually busy, which is great for them, but bad for us...) JonP wouldn't sit at the table, and only wanted to play in the kid police car there. We headed home for a nap, then went furniture window shopping on Western Avenue. Too bad Mitchell Gold was too pricey for our budget. And Norwalk Furniture will make you any couch with whatever fabric you choose, for the right price of course. We found some very reasonably priced pieced at Dania, which is where we started looking earlier this year. Isn't funny how you find what you're looking for on your first try, but then have to shop around.
Later we swung by Mom & Dad's to collect a hand me down rug.(which is really spoiling us, but looks better in our house, than rolled up in mom's basement)
Darv and Stacy came over later to help us move our TV back into place. I'm glad Stacy shares my view of dusting furniture before you place heavy object's on top. To thank them, I cooked them dinner, but don't take credit for it. Whole Foods and our George Foreman grill did the good part and Darv and Stace brought the cookie dough to bake.
Thanks so much for helping us get our house back together!

I had my day off yesterday, so JonP, Dioji and I were again leisure at home. JonP and I had movie day and watched Finding Nemo and Baby Einstein. Jayme came over later and watched Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, which allowed me to take a shower before Philip got home. Later we had a quiet night in our new space...I LOVE IT

I've felt like I'm drowning lately and our crappy weekend made the feeling even worse.

Here's a list of people/things that are keeping me afloat:
-My mom and my sister

-my husband's hardwork

-my baba, JonP and the amazing things he does everyday
...Jayme got him a kazoo and he immediately knew how to use it. He makes beautiful music!
...He surprises me with something new everyday. This week I went to pick him up afterwork, and found him up on a step stool at the sink splashing in Lola's soapy dish water and his lola with her back facing him cooking at the stove.
...The next evening, I found him engrossed watching Star Wars with his lola and lolo. He was totally captivated and a little scared of Darth Vader and the Strom Troopers.

-progress on our house(BTW it's going to be simply beautiful, very soon)

-

listening to Sublime, 40oz to Freedom on the way home from work makes the commute go fast. Skanking while driving makes traffic disappear.

-long due phone conversations with my best friends.

-Dioji(even if he is a bad boy)...when this fiasco we're all going through now is over, he'll be nice and happy with his very own space and lotsa walks and attention

Thanks to Jayme's comment, I found a clip of the
original O-zone Video for the Mia HEE, Mia HO song. It's the one the lego spoof is done on.

The remixx video isn't as cheezee as this first video...

Watch it! You'll love it!

THIS POST IS FOR JAYME

When we were in Paris, this song/group was on the UK top 10 list on MTV europe. The video and band was so corny with this really cheezzzeee persona. I wish I could've found a clip of their real video, but all I could find was this Lego Spoof of it.

Listen to it for some Monday joy after a terribly crappy weekend!

p.s. Phil and I had the crappiest weekend in a long time. Results of the crappy weekend include, Dioji in a 10 day quarentine, by orders of Animal Control, and on the good side...an all work no play attitude for us until all our work gets done and life returns to routine.

p.p.s Thanks to Mom for helping us finish our painting and Jayme for keeping JonP occupied while we get our butts in gear.

A. Mimi sent us to see Hairspray at the 5th Ave for a belated anniversary present. We had wonderful seats in Row A. They have new microphone technology, where they hide the mics in the wigs of the performers and they hang down on their foreheads a bit. That way they won't have to deal with mics during costume changes.

Later, we headed to support Urbal Essence. Kids these days...They get to the club at 12:30 AM, don't start dancing till their drinks kick in at 1:30AM, then probaby head to the after party.
I remember that we used to arrive at the club right before 10 to avoid a cover charge, then dance and drink till closing.
I'm too old for stuff like that now...

Posted for Jayme, mostly

I found this site:
Top 50 ? : le classement de la semaine

Top 50 songs on the french charts.
It has a lot of the songs we listened to in Paris, but couldn't buy the whole albums to.

That one CD we couldn't find because the single wasn't even out yet:
Rohff -Le son qui tue

Jayme posted pictures of Paris, most of which were taken while I was at work. I'm glad they had fun though. I did get to see alot more than my first trip.

So, in Paris, the only thing to watch and comprehend, were the Olympics, Fashion TV, BBC, CNN, and Music Television.
Jayme and I went to Virgin Megastore with a list of french artists that we wrote down while watching videos.

Here's my latest obsession
Wallen - Bouge cette vie

Roughly translated: Dump that life or Move that life.
