An Appositional Aporia
for Daniel Davidson

The brink is large,

hard disc with cleft
open, a putative landmark
while the destination slips.

Exception as always, taken outside.

If turning the words around
to set them on the speaker
were mantle and laurel,
and nothing to fall off during the direction,
but a straight hit.

Not to gather the land between blinks.

Pilgrims are we. Consuming star chart.

Not swayed by the luck of the last.
