Fans of Ms. Helen's Soul Food Restaurant, damaged beyond repair by the Nisqually earthquake, are again able to savor Helen Coleman's specialties - including plates of oxtails, corn and okra succotash, cabbage and yams, and cornbread - now that she has taken over Deano's Cafe and Lounge on East Madison Street in Seattle.
'You don't know what God has in store for you. I used to ask
why. But it's none of my business. I'm just supposed to get up
and keep on moving.'
