Thank you for the update of the agreement.
I reviewed it again and it looks
good except that I have the following concerns:
1) The surveillance camera should be operational.
2) The "walk through metal detector"
would be enough to deter me from
patronage in the business. It really does
not portray an image of safety for
patrons. Only the brave shall enter.
From a business perspective, it is not
really the best image to portray, but I understand
the necessity of the
device with their history. I just hope that
this will not need to be their
"welcoming" device for a long time.
Good work Andrew! Now let's hope everyone keeps their part of the agreement.
Andrew,
The agreement looks good. I support your
comment about lobbying for regular
police patrols along that section of Madison.
I think that's a necessary
part of the whole picture.
Thank you so much for all the updates!
Sorry I did not respond sooner
but I have been out of town for a couple of weeks
and am just now catching up on old
email, etc, etc. Thanks too for you website
address--I have found lots of
interesting info on Oscars II past and present
and I really appreciate all the
technical letters, agreements, notices, and such
that you have posted on the
site. There really are a few of us out here
who like to read the fine print
and want to see those documents. I plan
to print out several of them to take
home for my file on the neighborhood/local community.
I am sure it is a lot of
work to keep this sort of archive going but you
really are doing the community
an important service!
