A. CALL TO ORDER

The City Council of the City of Seattle met in the Council Chamber in the Seattle Municipal Building in Seattle, Washington, on Monday, December 3, 2001, pursuant to the provisions of the City Charter. The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m., with Council President Margaret Pageler presiding.

B. ROLL CALL

On roll call the following members were:

Present: Compton, Conlin, Drago, Licata, McIver, Nicastro, Steinbrueck, Pageler - 8

Absent: Wills - 1

Council President asked that the record show that Councilmember Wills would be excused from

H. COMMITTEE REPORTS AND FINAL VOTE ON LEGISLATION

NEIGHBORHOODS, SUSTAINABILITY AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE:

Agenda Item No. 1 - Council Bill No. 113864, Relating to land use and zoning; amending Sections 23.47.004 and the Official Land Use Map, Chapter 23.32 of the Seattle Municipal Code, to rezone properties located in the Madison-Miller Neighborhood in the Central Area Residential Urban Village to implement the Central Area Action Plan II.

The Committee recommended a Divided Report.

Recommend that the bill pass as amended.

Motion was made by Councilmember Licata, and duly seconded, to adopt the minority report, which would approve the attached Exhibit A Rezone Map that was before them.

Against: Compton, Conlin, Drago, McIver, Steinbruck - 5
