Programming for PC-MAC-UNIX-LINX on PC

I was asked to make a CD that a group that I belong to that their members could read even through they had different computer platforms. They had pc's, mac's, unix, etc computer and they could not read the pc programs and reports that I printed for them. In checking around I found out that Adobe Acrobat system could be read by all the above and a large number of other platform.
Any one that has any of the above computers can read Acrobat in they have the Acrobat reader program on their computer. Most of the computers have this program but if they do not have it the program is FREE to any one by going on the internet and bring up www.adobe-acrobat.com. When open go to download and you will find about 18 different reader programs for any type of the above computers. You can add any of these reader programs to any disks that you are making. Adobe does not charge for the reader programs and will let you use it on any thing. (Note any thing in .pdf format cannot be changed, or added, or deleted after setup. You have to go to your WP program and make the change and then go through what you did above to change or add to it. See below.
The Acrobat main program is sold at the computer stores for from $250.00 to $300.00 (depending on sales). After loading on your computer print out the instruction. The instruction are incomplete and to get all the instruction you can pick up a book with 718 page of small type by IDG books with a additional CD for $39.99 at your local bookstore called "Acrobat PDF Bible" by Ted Padova. . I picked it up at Barnes and Nobel. After loading the program on your computer (make sure that you have a icon on your desktop. See below for the reason)
You DO NOT use the Acobat program to enter your file or article. You will type it in a pc word processing program (can be Works, Words, Write, Text, etc). Make all the correction and pictures that you want to use because you cannot change it after you convert it to Acrobat. (Do not change the page format of your wp program as it will not carry over to Acrobat.
After you have the article the way you want it save it. Go to Explorer or My Computer. At that point click and drag the folder over to the Acrobat icon on your desktop and then in time the screen will say that it is done. At this point look over the article (it will show you the Acrobat copy) and if it is ok save it as .pdf file. If you don't save it you will lose the .pdf file.
At this point you are done. You can NOT change these article when it is in the .pdf format. If any thing is wrong go back to your wp file and change it and then go through the above system of drag and drop to make a new .pdf file
