| There are a few differennt weight measurement that you may come across from time to time. These are not used offen. |
| Troy Weight |
| Gold and other expensive items will be list in troy weights. A troy ounce or troy lb are not the same that a US person know. A troy lb is 12 oz. but each ounce is only .823 oz. US weight. If you would like to change a US customary weight to a troy weight you will take the troy weight and multiply it by .823 to know the correct troy weight. A troy ounce, you multiply by .0685833 to come up to the US oz. weight. |

| Grains |
| In some drug listing you will see the weight in grains. 1 grain is very light as it takes 5,760 grains to make 1 troy lb or 296.28 to a US oz. |

| Pennyweight |
| One of the little used weights is the pennyweight. The pennyweight is 19.752 to 1 US oz. or 1.555 grams It is seldom used. |
