PRINT SCREEN

by Ted Peterson
Most people that use a computer will from time to time wish that they could print what is on the screen before them.
This can be a listing of files that are on a zip disk, a picture that shows up on a Power Point disk (the picture may not be the best because the Power Point slide is a low resoluation jpg picture), a part of a web listing, the e-mail address book, etc.
There is an easy way to print out the screen.
When the screen wanted is showing press the print screen key that is on most keyboards.
At that time, keep on working on what is being done. When they are done, go to a word processing program that is on all computer. The work processing program has to have the "cut, copy and paste" option.
When the WP program is up and running, click on "paste" and the screen that you saved will be showing.
Now the screen can be printed out, saved, etc.
One note: only 1 screen can be saved at a time. There may be some clipping on the screen. Make sure all the items wanted is on the screen before saving.
If it is a Power Point picture or some other low resoluation picture the quality may not be top quality.
Another thing that needs to be checked. If the screen has pictures on it, make sure that the WP program is able to load pictures. If it is "Note Pad" or some other WP program that cannot handle pictures, the picture may not be showing. Also make sure that the WP has the "paste" option.
