A couple of pictures taken just minutes after he was born. He was 6 pounds, 9 ounces, and 19 3/4 inches long. In the second shot, his feet look almost as long as his body. He was born on January 3, early in the morning.
Lori's family stuck around until the wee hours of the morning to meet their new relative.
Some nice pictures taken by Lori's sister. The first and last ones are my favorite. One of these was scanned using better equipment than the rest. Can you tell the difference? Email me if you can tell which one it is.
A couple of shots of King Daniel at home. We started calling him that when Lori's mom was staying with us, and we realized he had three full time servants . . .
Family pictures of Lori, Tim, and babyDaniel Riley. The last one is (almost) evidence of Daniel's first Christmas. He missed it by just over a week. It didn't matter much; the grandparents bought him gifts anyway!
We eventually made it to Great Grandma's house so she could meet her latest great grand child. We think she might like the new little guy.
Grandma Sigrid came to help us for three weeks. She helped us finish painting Daniel's room, and she helped us get some sleep so we could survive. We enjoyed having her here, and we don't know what we would have done without her. She was sad to leave Daniel behind.
Daniel likes to sleep with his hands in weird positions. Dad just likes to sleep whenever he can, as the second picture shows.
Before Grandma Sigrid left, we visited Gregg and Becky. Their cat was fascinated with Daniel. It finally decided that the baby was harmless, but that the warm car seat might be worthwhile.
